Chris Fennell was born in Burlington, VT and has lived in Brooklyn, NY since 1992. He has a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Vermont, and an M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his wife and three children. He has shown in New York City, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Dubai, Tokyo, and elsewhere. His work is represented in private and public collections in the United States and abroad.
His work was most recently seen in "Paper Chase" at Marisa Newman Projects. His first curatorial effort, a two-person show featuring Carl E. Hazlewood and Stacy Fisher, titled “Knapsack,’ opens at Marisa Newman Projects in May of 2019.
