Chris Fennell was born in Burlington, VT and has lived in Brooklyn, NY since 1992. He has a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Vermont, and an M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his wife and three children. He has shown in New York City, Miami, Dubai, Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, and elsewhere. His work is represented in private and public collections in the United States and abroad.
His work was most recently seen in "Black And Blue" at Marisa Newman Projects, "Painting: More Or Less" at Transmitter Gallery in Brooklyn, and "Encounter" at Gallery Momo in Tokyo, Japan.
